I’ve been posting to forums about my thoughts about various things in regards to game design and the industry for many years, and this blog is meant to organize and present the result of my study and analysis of games that has been geared toward understanding human nature and becoming a better game designer.

In my posts I will attempt to provide a reasoned perspective on game design, industry standards and game criticism based on my experience as a competitive gamer, my study of psychology and game theory, and progress as a game developer and soon-to-be computer science graduate.

So read on and I will take you on a journey from the philosopher’s perspective, an understanding at the most fundamental level, to the engineer’s perspective, an understanding of how the fundamental gives rise to higher levels of abstraction and practical industry practices.
